The Department of Commerce’s Office of Textiles and Apparel reports that monthly imports of cotton, wool, manmade fiber, silk blend, and non-cotton vegetable fiber textile and apparel products totaled 5.68 billion square meter equivalents in October 2106, up 3.5 percent from September and 1.4 percent from October 2015. This rise is due in part to a 31.9 percent increase from Vietnam and Korea alone.
