USDA Cold Treatment Pilot Program

Dear valuable customers,
Customized Brokers, along with the Florida Perishable Trade Coalition, spearheaded a new Pilot Program that allows grapes and blueberries from Peru and Uruguay into South Florida seaports. To learn more about this program and to watch a video explaning the benefits, click here .
If the current Pilot is successful, it is the coalition’s intention to ask USDA to expand the Program to other commodities and countries, including the ones listed below. Please review the list and let us know if you have any suggestions that we have not considered. We would like to ensure we address all our valued customers.
Ø Peru: Grapes, blueberries, strawberries, mandarins, oranges, tangerines, cherries, kiwis, grapefruit, tangelo, clementines
Ø Uruguay: Grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apples, kiwis, mandarins, oranges, pears, persimmons
Ø Argentina: Grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apples, pears, quinces, plums, mandarins, oranges, peaches, apricots, cherries, kiwis, nectarines
Ø Colombia: Blueberries, cape, gooseberries, grapes, grapefruit, plums, pomegranate, oranges, tangerines, clementines, mandarins
Ø South Africa: Oranges, clementines, lemons, tangerines, nectarines, pears, plum, plum cot, grapefruit, peaches, grapes, cherries, blueberries, apricots, apples
Ø Spain: Grapes, oranges, clementines, mandarins, kiwis, apples, persimmons, grapefruits, ortanique, ethrog (citron), tangerines, loquat, verna lemons
